In this lesson, we explore phrases, which are groups of words that work together to add meaning without forming a complete sentence. For example, in the noun phrase "the big red ball," the words describe the ball, while in the prepositional phrase "under the table," they indicate the cat's location. Similarly, the verb phrase "is reading a book" tells us what she is doing.
